December of 2021 a routine mammogram changed our lives. I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Had a lumpectomy and radiation. And now I’m 1 year cancer free. During the appointments my husband, Joe and I, saw and met many ladies that weren’t as lucky as I was with their pending outcomes. We always left the appointments grateful yet saddened by the sickness of others. Such brave women of all ages. We wished we could do something for them. Joe had the idea of bracelet making. He asked me, “if i order some beads for breast cancer awareness, could you make bracelets?” I made #100 bracelets and we put them in the donation box in the chemotherapy room at Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center, October of 2022. We’re planning on continuing doing this.
